Cater Marine has been appointed the New Zealand distributor for KISS Wind Generators.
This wind generator was designed to supply the energy needs of the average cruising sailboat, operates very quietly and can be serviced with parts available worldwide.

About Us
History
Cater Marine Opua has a tradition in fine marine outfitting, with a history of supplying chandlery for 30 years to Whangarei and the Bay of Islands.
Location
We are situated in Opua, Bay of Islands, which is the first port of call for yachts arriving in New Zealand. In immediate vicinity to the Marina and boat yard, Cater Marine are at the heart of a thriving marine park that offers everything from sail makers to mechanical engineers.

We specialise in sourcing unique chandlery items. We will go the extra mile to satisfy our clients' requirements. You can email us with your needs prior to arriving in New Zealand and we will make sure it is here when you arrive.

In addition, we hold an annual trade expo where all the major suppliers are represented and clients can discuss their needs directly with the supplier. It is a hugely successful event and just gets better each year! The trade expo is held in November to coincide with the yachts coming into New Zealand from the Pacific Islands and Australia.

Glen Pierce
Owning a few boats himself, Glen knows what it's like to look after your boating, sailing and fishing equipment. Always on the pulse of the time, he makes sure that we have the latest technology available for you!
Margaret Pierce
Margaret is in charge of the accounts and the general well-being - both of the customers and the staff...
Bob
When you need to find a solution, Bob is the person to look for. With experience in both offshore and coastal yachting, he is a fountain of knowledge with regard to everything boating.
Rosie
Usually at the back of the shop looking after our inwards goods with her great knowledge of our complete product range is Rosie. She is your guide to what is where and how much it costs!
Katja
You will generally find Katja glued to her computer screen, making sure that our records and pricing remain up to date. But don't be deceived: she knows her way around boats and the shop just as well!
Pete
The official shipdog and mascot of Cater Marine is usually sleeping under Margaret's desk. If you are thinking of waking him up, try ice cream and chocolate! And remember that Pete enjoys to have his tummy rubbed...
