The Soft Machine is a well-known tuna lure on the US Atlantic coast, where it produces excellent results on bigeye, yellowfin and bluefin tuna, but no one is surprised when a marlin climbs on it either.A 13” straight-runner without a lot of built-in action, this ‘lame duck’ often gets smacked hard when run well back behind the rest of the lure spread, try running it off the shotgun ’rigger or the long ’rigger.
